Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Dentsu Digital runs a company-wide DE&I program that promotes fair opportunities, flexible work, and an inclusive culture. Since launching the DE&I Initiative in 2021, we have earned Eruboshi* (three stars), PRIDE Index Gold (three consecutive years), and Kurumin* Certification.

*Eruboshi and Kurumin are certifications from Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Eruboshi: three-star rating for promoting women’s participation and career advancement; Kurumin: recognition for excellence in childcare support and work–life balance.

We promote gender equity through women’s advancement programs and fully supported paternity leave. As of January 2025:


  • Female employees: 41.2%
  • Female managers: 24.9%
  • Men taking paternity leave: 93.8%
International Women’s Day Company‑wide activities on March 8 aligned with SDG 5: Gender Equality.

LGBTQ+ Inclusion

Since January 2021, same‑sex partners receive the same benefits as opposite‑sex spouses. “DD ALLY for all” provides training and events with accessible materials. PRIDE Index Gold, three consecutive years.

Family Support

DD Family Lab offers peer roundtables and practical resources to help balance work and family.
Parental‑leave handbook and guidance from pregnancy through return to work. For caregiving, we provide the Business Carers Handbook (2024).

Disability Inclusion

Employees with disabilities work across departments. Since 2018 we have also hired para‑athletes, supporting both their roles and training schedules. Annual awareness activities aligned with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Support for Employees with Serious Health Conditions

Lavender Cafe provides a peer network for employees living with cancer and for caregivers, plus regular information sessions.

Sustainability

We follow the Dentsu Group Charter of Corporate Behavior and our purpose: inspire people, create new value, and improve how the world works. We build sustainability into our operations and client work and focus on measurable social and environmental outcomes.
With partners and stakeholders, we use data, technology, and creativity to support inclusion, climate action, and equity, contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Social projects

We implement social projects that harness digital, media, and creative capabilities to tackle global challenges- from environmental issues to DE&I.

One Day for Change

Employees volunteer through One Day for Change.
In 2022, about 6,300 employees (14%) took part. In 2023, colleagues from four regions and 65 countries and territories participated.

DX educational support

Since 2022, we have funded university courses on digital transformation across Japan to help develop DX talent and support client transformation.

Office eco activities

We follow Japan's Green Purchasing Law and prioritize eco-friendly supplies. We continue to digitize documentation; when paper is needed, we use environmentally friendly folders and clips.

World Environment Day

We hosted an online workshop with students from Nihon University College of Art and Kyoto University of the Arts to create web commercials about waste.

Club activities

Dentsu Digital supports nearly 20 sports and culture clubs. Through "Circle SDGs," clubs that include SDG-related actions receive ethically sourced products to encourage everyday sustainable habits.
