Value Creation Initiatives Utilizing AI

Dentsu Digital, a core company of dentsu Japan, is  creating sustainable value by advancing advertising and customer experience (CX)  with AI. In January 2025, to accelerate one of our top management priorities—strengthening support for AI adoption—we established the  role of CAIO (Chief AI Officer), a position I have assumed.

To establish a competitive advantage in the market, we are deploying tangible AI strategies. In the advertising field, we are further evolving  “∞AI Ads”, our solution for automating and optimizing ad operations and creative. Since its release in 2022, this solution has significantly contributed to the optimization of various ad campaigns, with client companies experiencing an average improvement of 150% in advertising effectiveness. Going forward, we will focus on video ad generation, enhancing prediction accuracy, and strengthening integration with everyday business tools to further improve the efficiency of ad operations.

In the CX domain, our goal is to make customer experiences even more engaging and interactive through services built on “∞AI Chat.” This solution enables users to quickly access the information they need through conversation with AI, without relying on keyword search or manual navigation. We are also committed to enhancing corporate brand value through collaborations with entertainment IPs (franchises) and celebrities/talent.

By connecting data from both advertising and CX, we will deliver more personalized, end‑to‑end marketing solutions.

Expanding into international markets—which account for roughly 60% of the Dentsu Group's total revenue—is also a crucial part of our strategy. Starting from the APAC region, we are looking to broaden our reach into the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East & Africa, further strengthening our global competitiveness.

Regarding AI trends, we have established a system for communicating specific technical and product requirements to platform providers and for follow-up. In particular, we have built close relationships with several key platformers, enabling direct communication with their AI division leaders. This structure allows for the rapid release of requested features and prioritized access to technologies that are often piloted first in North America.

Alongside the CAIO role, we created a cross‑functional organization, AI Native Twin—our companywide program that pairs employees with governed AI copilots to standardize, scale, and oversee AI adoption across Dentsu Digital.

We will continue to drive open innovation through AI, support client growth by enhancing employee performance and creating synergies with other Dentsu Group companies and strive for the further development of society.
